Choose the same size pouch carrier as your shirt size (men choose one size larger). Your baby should fit snugly but comfortably against your body. Most people will fit into two sizes. Choose the larger size if you plan on using the cradle carry.
Use the " shoulder fold-down" method to make a larger pouch fit more snug. You may want to use this technique if you buy a larger pouch to use the cradle carry, but you prefer a more snug fit when using the hip carry or another type of carry. This technique also makes it possible to share the pouch with another person who is about one size different. The "shoulder fold-down" will make your pouch fit one half to one size smaller.
Shoulder Fold-Down Instructions:
Place baby in the pouch in whatever carrying position you intend to use (See wearing instructions).
Hold baby snug against your body to give the pouch a bit of slack.
Fold down the top layer of the pouch over your shoulder so that the top edge meets up with the bottom edge. Ask someone to help you with this technique until you are confident on your own. See the photo for reference
